Yesterday, I met at a pub with Courtney and Tom. We were having a meeting, accompanied by some pints of beer and glasses of wine, about taking Tuesdays and Sundays to the Brighton Fringe festival.
I was kind of dreading the meeting, truth be told. I am not a person who likes to deal with the administrative side of things. I'm just not good at it! I anticipated this meeting to be full of budgeting, marketing ideas and assignments. But not so much! Courtney had everything ready to go. A website had been created. Our indiegogo campaign was set up and so the budget was done. We were meeting to work out our schedules and to hit the launch key on the whole thing.
And I just got really excited! To be working with these people I've come to admire, to delve back into the script, to rediscover and to discover anew, to discover more... I've only ever remounted one show: Utopia. And that was a bit of different circumstance. It involved a rewrite and so the characters became quite different. You know the expression "sleep on it?" And it works! You take a break from something and truly come back to it with everything already embedded in you and a chance to live and breathe even more into your project. Well. This will be a coming back to it after months of sleep. What's going to come out of this!
Rehearsals are set to start back up at the end of this month, so keep an eye out for updates on how everything is going!

And you know, while you're there, if you want to make a donation, that'd be really swell...
